Anne Blair Waller passed away March 25, 2026 after a long battle with lung disease. She fought like a warrior. She was born September 23, 1938, the daughter of the late J. T. and Muriel Whitcomb Blair.
She is now home with the Lord and reunited with her son, Jerald "Jay" Waller, II; sisters, Theresa Blair and Shirley Blair Nicholas; brothers, Robert Blair and Robert DuBose.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerald "Jerry" Waller of Dauphin Island, AL; daughter, Katherine Fain of Theodore, AL; son, Blair (Susan) Waller of Venice, FL.; grandchildren, Terence "Skip" (Michelle) Faulkner of Clarksville, GA; Keith Faulkner of Mobile, AL; Beth (Bobby) Bullock of Irvington, AL; Miranda (Jared) Knowles of Irvington, AL; Amanda (Austin) Ferrell of Irvington, AL; Trevor Waller of Irvington, AL; Jared Waller of Venice, FL; Julie Waller of Venice, FL; Jacob Waller of Venice, FL.; sisters, Jan Parker of Jones, AL; Sue (Allen) Watters of Florence, AL; Tracy (Tommy) Mobley of Selma, AL; Leola Kizziah of Billingsley, AL; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Anne was born in Selma, AL and graduated from A.G. Parrish High School in 1956. She worked for the Selma Chamber of Commerce, the Probate Judge’s office in Perry County, AL (Marion), and retired in 1999 after 20 years with the Dauphin Island School (Mobile County School System). She was a member of The Gideons International Auxiliary for 29 years and served in local and state positions. She and Jerry traveled to many cities in various states to distribute copies of God’s Word and to witness to others given the opportunity. After being diagnosed with Alpha One Anti-Trypsin disease in 1989, Anne fought with unwavering courage and grace. She lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and deep devotion to her Lord and her family. Anne touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
Visitation will be at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in Selma on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 11:15 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma with Pastor David Tippens from Church of the Island officiating.
