Arlen Kaldor

Arlen O. Kaldor, 89, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. Born on March 2, 1937, Arlen lived a life defined by hard work, service, faith, and devotion to his family.

Arlen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, where he worked as an electrician. Following his military service, he continued his electrical career with Macklan Electric and Russell Electric before dedicating the next 40 years of his life to Campbell Roofing, where his strong work ethic and dependability earned the respect of all who knew him.

Outside of work, Arlen found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and had a lifelong passion for collecting and selling guns and knives. He was also a talented woodworker who loved creating beautiful pieces with his hands. Whether building something special or sharing stories with family and friends,

Arlen's craftsmanship and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone around him.

Arlen was preceded in death by his parents, Odin and Jennie Kaldor; his beloved wife, Frances "Tootsie" Kaldor; his sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Raymond Bakke; his son, Rickey "Slick" Kaldor; and his nephew, Dean Bakke.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Tony (Diane) Kaldor, Tim Kaldor, Roy (Lea Ann) Kaldor, and Ann (Ken) Caver. He was a proud grandfather to Misty Green, Chris Kaldor, Tonya Hicks, Eric Caver, Katherine Privett, Jessica Caver, Kayla Freine, Tiffany Walker, Rylee Irwin, and Matthew Kaldor, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Kaldor, Eric Caver, Billy Perry, Jonathan Sebren, David Sebren, and CJ Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Milstead and Matthew Kaldor.

Arlen will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, craftsman, and friend. His quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, love for the outdoors, and the legacy he built through his family and the work of his hands will never be forgotten.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing that he fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. His memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in Selma with Dr. George Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home in Selma.
