Bennie Edwin Simmons, Sr.

Bennie E. Simmons, Sr., age 89, of Plantersville, passed away on Wednesday, May 06, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Auburn and Mary Ellen Simmons; wife, Karen Pierson Simmons; son, Bennie E. Simmons, Jr.; son-in-law, Ronnie McElroy; granddaughter, Kristina Marie McElroy; grandson-in-law, Jarren Addison; sister-in-law, Edith Pierson.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy and Bobby Weber and Kristie McElroy; daughter-in-law Julie Simmons; grandchildren and families, Henry, Melanie, and Drake Weber, Ashley, Jacob, Jaxson, and Joshua Addison, Kendall, David, Clifton, and Crawford Smith, Kelly, Ware, Dawson, and Sadie Cox, Kevin and Kimberly Simmons, Ryan, Merredith, Brentlee, Matthew, and Allie McElroy, Kody and Sara Grace McElroy; nephew, David Pierson; great nephew, Devin and Emma Pierson.

Visitation with be at Plantersville Christian Church Saturday, May 09, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow with Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Plantersville Christian Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Henry Weber, Kevin Simmons, David Smith, Ware Cox, Ryan McElroy, and Kody McElroy. 

Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Adams.
