Betty Nelson
July 16, 1940 — April 7, 2022
Betty Dumas Nelson passed away April 7, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born July 16, 1940 to the late Raleigh and Ellie McCormick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, EJ Nelson; grandson, David Dunkin; great-grandchild, CJ Nelms; sister, Ethal Roy and daughter-in-law, Mary Dumas.
She is survived by her sons, George (Patti) Dumas, Glenn (Lisa) Dumas and Jerry Dumas; grandchildren, Jennifer Horton, Dana (Shannon) Vines, Denita (Michel) Montoro, Kristy Dumas, Haley Dumas, Amanda (Chris) Dumas, JR (Charlene) Dunkin, Priscilla (Jason) Dunkin, Joshua Dumas, Paige (Shane) Gregg, Samantha Bennett and John Matthew Bennett and countless great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Selma VFW Post 3016.
