Billy Max Hubbard

Billy Hubbard passed away September 28, 2026 at the age of 63. He was born October 14, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico to Martha Hubbard and the late Gene Hubbard.

Billy loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting, and traveled to Colorado to hunt elk every chance he got. Even greater was his love for his nieces and nephews, whom he proudly called his own and cherished dearly. A man with a big heart and a generous spirit, Billy will be remembered for his kindness and the love he so freely shared with those around him.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bruce Carswell and nephew, Steven Carswell.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Hubbard; sisters, Janice Carswell, Cathy Ann Smith and Julie (Joey) Nichols ; brother, Gene (Sydney) Hubbard; nieces and nephews, Wesley (Olivia) Smith, Tabitha (Bruce A.) Carswell, Patrick (Sherry) Carswell, Amy (Michael) Cowan and a slew of great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great as well.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home in Selma from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Joey Nichols, Wesley Smith, Patrick Carswell, Bruce Anthony Carswell, Michael Cowan, Randell Piper, Dalton Carswell and Blake Smith.
