He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Nelson and later wife, Judy Ivey.
He is survived by his step-son, John (Amy) Ivey; step-daughter, Julie Ivey and step-son, Roy Thomley; grandchildren, Ivey Ivey, Aloria Ivey Dembo, Joseph Ivey and David Billings.
He will be laid to rest at Goodwater Freewill Baptist Church next to his wife, Betty.
