Edna Gray

Edna Earl Gray passed away July 26, 2017 at the age of 86. She was born January 26, 1931 to the late Lester and Gertrude McGee Chandler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbie J. Gray; daughter, Linda Annette Connell; her parents; siblings, Beatrice (William) Horton, Nelson (Katherine) Chandler, Vivian (Charlie) Martin, Flora Spangenberg, McArthur Chandler and Maudine (Gordon) Carter and grandson, Steven Wendell Carter.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Wendell) Carter, Connie Jean (Aulsey) Lassitter, Walter Robert Gray and Louise Corson; grandchildren, Judy (Drew) Scardina, Daniel (Mary Ann) Lassitter, Karen Morgan, Melody (Robert Dale) Wesley, Jack (Jenn) Richardson, Rachel (Justin) Eldred; numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; sisters, Marie (Bob) Michel and Barbara Mull; brother-in-law, George Spangenberg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Denny McClendon officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday evening, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Jones, Charlie Worrell, Glynn Stewart, Donnie Carter, Duke Martin and Allen Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonnie Mull, Claude Holbrook and Daniel Lassitter.
