Goldie Mae Brooks passed away January 21, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born February 21, 1935 to the late Thomas Pickard and Nora Weaver Pickard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Brooks; sons, Harold L. Brooks and Ronald W. Brooks; daughter, Joyce A. Brooks and grandson, James Brooks, II.
She is survived by her son, Franklin Dale Brooks; grandson, Clarance M. (Serena) Brooks, granddaughter, Rachel (Kenny) Garrett ; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Henry, Spencer, Travis, Hayden and Zoe.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma with Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.
