Hershell Lamar Kendrick passed away February 27, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born October 4, 1935 to the late Richard Walter and Mary Clementine Browning Kendrick.

He was preceded in death by siblings, James Mellen “J.M.” Kendrick, Richard Pierce “R.P.” Kendrick, Martha Frances Kendrick Tallant, William Eugene Kendrick and Walter Kendrick, Jr.; and great-nephew, Joshua Browning Ellis.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie Ellis Kendrick; daughters, Susan (Edward) Epp and Amanda (Howard) Stein; grandchildren, Dillon(Jessica) Epp, Wyatt (Stephanie) Epp, Olivia (Joshua) Broomer and Erick Stein; great-grandchildren, Marshall Epp, Langston Epp and Georgia Kate Epp; niece, Brenda T. Ellis and great-nephew, Aaron (Mimi) Ellis.

Mr. Kendrick owned and operated Kendrick Construction Company for over 45 years in the Dallas County Area.  As public ministers of Jehovah's Witnesses, he and his wife enjoyed talking to everyone they knew of their hope of a "new earth" and traveling as delegates with this same message to over 30 countries.

Visitation will be at the home of Hershell and Billie Kendrick, Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 1150 County Road 44, Selma, Alabama 36701. A memorial service will follow in the main auditorium of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be, Dillon Epp, Wyatt Epp, Erick Stein, Edward Epp, Howard Stein and Jackie White.
