James B Nichols

James Buren Nichols, a longtime resident of Selma, AL, died on Monday, December 18, 2023, at his home. He was born on January 30, 1945, and was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church (now Cornerstone Presbyterian), where he served as an elder in the Presbyterian Church, USA.

He is survived by his wife, Becky, a sister, Holly Schiffer (of Prattville), and a host of nephews, nieces, longtime friends, and adopted family.

Mr. Nichols had an amazing style and attention to detail that brought elegance and grace to every occasion. He cooked, arranged, planned, and created for his church family for over twenty-five years and will long be remembered by those who lovingly called him “Mr. Nichols.”

There will be a memorial service at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
