James Campbell

James Melton Campbell, age 83, of Selma, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Grindle, Rev. Jerry Smith, and Minister Teena Smith officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

He is preceded by his parents: John and Othylyea Campbell; wife: Irene Campbell; sister: Glenda Knight; and daughter: Betty Headley.

Mr. Campbell is survived by his daughter: Donna (Jeffery) Vining; sons: Jerry (Lisa) Smith, Sam Smith; sister: Ann Nichols; grandchildren: Candace (Jefferay) Downam, Deidre (Stephen) Averette, Teena (Jeffrey) Smith; Katie Smith, Samuel (Chrissy) Smith, Joshua Smith, James (Wendy) Smith, Diane Dupree, and several more grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: James Smith, Jeffery Smith, Jessie Nichols, Wayne Edwards, Samuel Smith, Craig Smith, and Joe Goodman.
