James Lowell Jordan, fondly known as "Hollywood," passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 10, 1948, James was the cherished son of the late Lowell C. Jordan, "Jack," and Nannie Mae Farley. He is remembered for his vibrant spirit and the warmth he brought to all who knew him.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Jordan Dean, and her husband Steve; granddaughters Alyssa Luiten and her husband Josh, and Abby Jewel Middlebrooks; great-granddaughters Indie and Ezra. He is also survived by his brother, Cody "Lyn" Jordan, and sister, Debra Farley. Additionally, he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, dear cousin Tommy Simmons, and brother-in-law Sid Johnson, along with many lifelong friends and devoted caregivers at Brown's Nursing Home.
James was preceded in death by the love of his life, Patricia Ann Jordan; his brother, Jimmy Wayne Grider; and his sister, Betty Ann Chavers. His memories will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who had the honor to know him.
A visitation will be held on December 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. in Selma, Alabama with Chad Middlebrooks officiating. The family invites all who knew and loved James to come together to celebrate his life and the joy he brought into this world.
A graveside service will follow at New Live Oak cemetery.
