Kay was a proud graduate of Dallas County High School, completing her education in 1972 before furthering her studies in drafting and design at Wallace Community College. She devoted her life to her children and cherished every moment with her grandson.

An adventurous soul, Kay loved exploring the beauty of the world around her. From the majestic mountains of the West to the serene landscapes of Tennessee and the sunny shores of Florida, she embraced each journey with enthusiasm and joy. Nature, as well as creativity, was at the core of her being. She was an artist at heart, expressing her passion through drawing, particularly capturing the intricacies of nature and the beauty of portraits. Her crafts displayed her keen eye for detail and her love for artistry, while her tender care for her plants reflected her nurturing spirit.

Kay's affection for animals was apparent, particularly for her beloved cat, Sonja, who brought her much joy and companionship. She poured so much love into every aspect of her life, whether it was through her hobbies or in the warmth she offered to others.
