Lee William “Billy” Cochran, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home on December 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 7, 1943, to the late William Alfred Cochran and Hettie Lucile Langford Cochran.
Lee proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years, dedicating his life to service, discipline, and leadership. He retired with the distinguished rank of Chief Master Sergeant, a testament to his commitment, integrity, and excellence. His military career was a source of great pride to both him and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brantley Cochran.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Shawn) Williamson and Lee Ann (Jeff) Atkins; his cherished grandchildren, Phillip (Ramya) Atkins, Devin (Elizabeth) Atkins, Jenna Atkins and Tristan Williamson; his beloved great-granddaughter, Luna Violet Atkins; his sisters, Janice Ross and Bonnie (Bobby Ray) Felts; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Lee will be remembered for his dedication to family, his honorable service to his country, his passion for reading and competitiveness playing strategy games with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening as well as the occasional trip to the casino.
