Listen to Obituary

It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Linda Andrews Spivey, who left this world on November 6, 2025, at the age of 75. Linda was more than a devoted wife, mother, and friend; she was a guiding light whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Born on August 24, 1950, in Milton, Florida, to Alvin and Hazel Andrews, Linda embodied grace, compassion, and unwavering integrity. Her dedication to her work as a supervisor in textile manufacturing for over 40 years and later 12 years of helping manage Mr. Waffle, was matched only by her commitment to uplifting those around her. Linda led by example, inspiring her colleagues with professionalism and nurturing others through her generosity and wisdom.

Linda’s influence extended far beyond any title or role. She was the heart of her family, offering unfailing support, love, and encouragement. Her gentle spirit and steadfast strength provided comfort in times of need and joy in moments of celebration.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Amos Andrews and Hazel Lee Andrews Alford; her husband, William Harold Spivey, Jr.; her brother, Jerry Alvin Andrews; and her sisters, Raye Andrews Lucas and Harriett Elaine Andrews Melvin.

Linda is lovingly survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William (Trey) Harold Spivey III and Jessica Hain Spivey; her daughter and son-in-law, Krystal Spivey Mezera and David Daniel Mezera; and her beloved grandchildren, William Hain Spivey, Sarah Hazel Spivey, Ashby Dalton Massey (Mikaela Davis Massey), Natalie Peyton Jones (Christopher Alan Jones, Jr.), Spivey Andrew Massey, Mia Skelton, and Ali Skelton. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren, Abby Lynn Massey, Hilton Davis Massey, Christopher Alan Jones III (Tripp), and Peyton Rose Jones; her brother, Johnny Proctor Andrews; sisters, Alice Aileen Andrews Sclease, Sharon Anita Andrews Bishop, Ann Elizabeth Andrews, and Carmen Nora Andrews Brewer; along with countless nieces, nephews, friends, and associates who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma. A funeral service honoring Linda’s life will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Crosspoint Christian Church with Pastor David Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Pilots for Christ or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Linda’s name, in tribute to her lifelong commitment to helping others.

Linda Andrews Spivey will be remembered not only for her achievements but for her compassion, strength, and the love she so freely gave. Her legacy will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
