Louise Moore Barnes Hopkins passed away July 28, 2025 at the age of 91. She was born October 8, 1933 to the late Edward Lemley Moore and Sallie Mae Payne Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Harrison Barnes and Harley Herbert Hopkins; siblings, Troy Moore, Wayne Moore, Charles Moore, Billy Moore, Ludie Moore, Robert Moore and Virginia Moore Lawson.
She was a sweet lady, whose radiant smile could illuminate even the darkest of days, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
Louise found joy in the simplest of pleasures, with her interests centering around nurturing both her loved ones and her beloved garden. Her passion for gardening was particularly evident in her love for begonias, which flourished under her gentle care, much like the family she cherished throughout her life. Her culinary talents were equally noteworthy; she enjoyed cooking delicious meals that brought her family together, embodying the essence of a loving homemaker.
Perhaps her proudest accomplishment was her commitment to being a devoted wife, mother, and friend. Louise embraced her role as a caretaker with grace and dedication, always prioritizing the comfort and happiness of those she held dear. Her home was a sanctuary filled with love, laughter, and warmth, serving as a gathering place for family and friends alike.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Barnes (Larry) Crane and Linda Barnes (Jimmy) Morgan; grandchildren, Christian (Mary Christie) Crane, Megan Crane and Eric (Miranda) Morgan; great-grandchildren, Chase Morgan and Jesse Morgan; three sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
