Margery Rives Lindsey passed away at Wesley Gardens in Montgomery, Alabama on May 9, 2025 at the age of 95. She was born August 6, 1929 to the late Thomas James Rives and Margery Naomi Berry Rives.

Margery had a remarkable career as a paralegal secretary for Henry Chapel at Rushton, Stakely, Johnston & Garrett P.A., where she dedicated 13 years of her life, showcasing her impressive skills as a fast typist. However, her role as a loving homemaker was perhaps her greatest gift. A gifted storyteller, Margery took delight in recounting tales of family history, engaging her loved ones with the rich narratives that linked them to their ancestors. As a self-taught artist, she painted countless masterpieces that her family now treasures dearly, each brush stroke a testament to creativity and dedication to her love of nature and God's creation. Margery formed a deep emotional bond with each of her paintings, pouring her soul into every brushstroke, and would not part with a single one—save for the few she lovingly gifted to family, as each piece held a part of her spirit.

Margery was a person who radiated warmth and kindness. She had an genuine ability to make everyone feel loved and appreciated. Friends and family alike often remarked on her sweet disposition.
