Mary Janelle Tucker

Janelle Tucker passed away June 26, 2025 at the age of 72. She was born July 1, 1952 to the late Jack Pickens Tucker and Doris Nell Chisolm Tucker.

Her spirit was as lively as her interests; she loved to participate in the choir at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Whether it was in the warmth of her community at Courtyard Apartments or during spirited gatherings with friends, her voice, rich and full of emotion, brought joy to many. Her love for music was matched only by her enthusiasm for Auburn Football, which she eagerly followed alongside her friends, celebrating every touchdown with fervor and camaraderie.

She was a social butterfly. The joy of keeping busy was always a hallmark of Janelle's days. She found fulfillment in simple pleasures and embraced life’s moments with open arms. The echo of her laughter and the warmth of her smile will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to have known her.

She is survived by a host of cousins and her long-time special friend, Becky Freeman.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Burton officiating. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home, beginning at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service.
