Mary L. Motes passed away November 21, 2017 at the age of 81. She was born July 25, 1936.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nettie Lou Strickland; step-father, Joseph Strickland, Sr.; brother: Joseph (Frances) Strickland, Jr.; and sister: Kate (Charles) Pressley.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She Is survived by her children, Debra “D.J.” (Douglas) Deal, Benny Ray Motes and Timothy Motes; grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Daniel Williams and Kimberly Skalisky; great-grandchildren, Kyra Sturzenegger, Ryker Lee Williams; Emersyn Kate Fancher; siblings, James Ray Strickland, Erving (Joyce) Strickland and Douglas “Skip” Strickland.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Williams, Christopher Williams, Douglas Deal, Gavin Brooks and Butch Bowman.
