Mollie Allen

Mollie Green Allen left this life and entered into the presence of her Savior on February, 12, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born February 18, 1933 to the late Lester Pettus Green and Myrtle Lee Bridges.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie James Allen; stepfather, Buster Broughton; siblings, Evelyn (Emile “Black”) Hotard, W.C. Green, Nannie Mae (Calvin) Johnston, Frances Faye (James Murphy) Sealy, Emma Lee (Jack) Foman, Walter Oliver Green, Daisy Lou (Elie) Naquin; brother-in-law, Ivey Bourg and son-in-law, Roger Perry Burton.

Left behind to remember her are her children, Margaret (Tommy) Williams, Donald Wayne Allen, Sr., Mary Denise Burton and Melissa Dannette (Donald Henry, Jr.) Tyus; grandchildren, James Collin Allen, Connie Renee’ (Carlos) Allen-Carter, Tamara Marie Bearden, Donald Wayne (Carla) Allen, Jr., Donald James Tyus (Hope Contreras), Joseph Wayne (Brittany) Tyus, Kenneth Randall (Jennifer) Martin, Raven Grace “Gracie” (Michael) Hall and Stephanie LeeAnn Burton; great-grandchildren, Coleton Bearden, Cameron Bearden, Caden Bearden, Shelby Allen, Casey Allen, Jace Allen, Landen James “Tater” Tyus, Henry Kenneth Tyus, JoAnna Jenel Tyus, Jaeleigh Jo Tyus and Ashlyn Horn; brother, Richard Clint (Virginia) Green, Sr.; sister, Jeanette “Nett” Bourg; bonus daughter, Phyllis Allen; sister-in-law, Fannie Mae Green and countless nieces, nephews cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Kenneth Martin officiating. She will be laid to rest at Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be James Allen, Donald Allen, Jr., Kenneth Martin, Donald Tyus, Joseph Tyus and Landon Tyus. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Tyus, Jr., Billy Green, Robert Green, Ronnie Sealy and Donnie Sealy.
