Nettie M. Hamilton passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026 at the age of 82. She was born January 23, 1944 to the late James Franklin McCullough and Annie Lee Spigner McCullough.

She was the last of her siblings, Matthew McCullough, James Lee McCullough, John McCullough, Louise Hancock, Lucile Corley and Wilodean Nichols.

She is survived by her son, Chuck Hamilton; her niece and caregiver, Pam (Tom) Royal and a host of other nieces and nephews. She has numerous great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Jones with Pastor Ray Caver officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. Visitation will be at the church, beginning at 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and techs on 4 South at Baptist Hospital South who cared for Nettie with such love and compassion, and to Baptist Hospice for their incredible work with our family and for everything they did to ensure comfort. A special thank you to Alex for her exceptional work going above and beyond to care not only for Nettie, but also for her family.
