Patsy Blackwell

Patsy Claudene Blackwell, of Lowndesboro passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, June 8, 2025 at the age of 86.

She was born February 23, 1939 in Lindsay, OK to the late Lula Mae Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Robert Charles "Mickey" Blackwell; sisters, Joyce Woods, Mollie Dawes, Jessie McCoy and Frankie Jones; and brother, Cecil Bryant.

Patsy retired from Honda All Lock in Selma, and also owned Blackwell Drywall Company for over 50 years with her late husband Mickey Blackwell.

She is survived by her children, Melinda Blackwell, Robert Dale (Karlie) Blackwell and Jennifer Blackwell; grandchildren, Shelly Blackwell (Leigh) Hargrove, Lauren Pomeroy (Jeremy) Logan, Heather Blackwell (Brandon) Orvis, Lindsay Pomeroy (Meng) Ung, Jesse Blackwell (Brandi) Foster, Patrick (Raeven) Foster, Austin Travis (Jade) Chesser and Jon Cole (Ivy) Chesser; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1:00pm at New Live Oak Cemetery with Matt McCord officiating.

Pallbearers will be Austin Travis Chesser, Jon Cole Chesser, Leigh Hargrove, Brandon Orvis, David Ryles and Don Smith.
