Peggy R. Greene passed away July 23, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born April 19, 1940 to the late Sarah Margaret Seymore Rush and Joseph Leo Rush.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, W. Cassady Bender; grandson, Joshua Bender; granddaughter, McKinley Jacobs and brother, Jerry W. Rush.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Greene; children, Danny Bender, Kathy (Donald) Weathers and Patti (Steve) Patterson; step-daughter, Angie (Ron) Astin; grandchildren, Brittney Williams, Joseph Bender, Todd Weathers, Adam (Lisa) Weathers, Jamie (Charlie) King, CJ (Andrew) McCluskey, Chelsea Rice and David Cole (Maddie) Jacobs; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home At Pineview in Valley Grande with Bro. Ken Blake and Bro. Mike Watts officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home in Valley Grande beginning at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service.
