Robert Earl Carswell, cherished husband, devoted father, loving brother, and a friend to all, passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on May 10, 1954 to the late Earl D. and Bessie H. Carswell. Bob lived a life abundant with faith, laughter, and a deep love for both his family and his God.
For over 35 years, Bob was the owner and operator of A-Bobs Mobile Home Service, a venture through which he not only moved mobile homes across Alabama but also took it upon himself to be a mobile minister. He journeyed through every corner of the state, using his platform to preach the gospel and touch the hearts of everyone he encountered. His passion for sharing the message of the Lord shaped his life and influenced numerous individuals, ensuring that no soul left his company without knowledge of Jesus Christ.
With a sense of joy that was contagious, Bob had a remarkable gift for making others laugh. He loved to cut up and joke, bringing brightness into the lives of those fortunate enough to cross his path. Family and friends will remember his vibrant spirit and his unwavering dedication to his faith.
Bob also found tremendous joy in spending time with his beloved family. Together, they formed The Singing Carswells, a vocal ensemble that traveled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, spreading the word of the Lord through their music. With ten albums recorded, they left a profound mark in the realm of gospel ministry, showcasing not only their talent but also their deep-rooted beliefs.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Bob cherished the simple pleasures of life. He found peace in nature, particularly while fishing, a pastime that offered him an escape and an opportunity for reflection. Above all, he valued the time spent with family, creating memories that will be treasured long after his departure. If Bob were here with us today, he wouldn’t miss the chance to tell you one thing: “Find Jesus.” His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he would want nothing more than for others to come to know the same peace and hope he found in his Savior.
