Robert Wayne Johnson

Robert (Bobby) Wayne Johnson passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 75 years.

He was born July 31,1949 to the late John Raymond Johnson, Sr. and Evelyn Sanford Johnson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkdale Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Brown officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.

Bobby was a graduate of A.G. Parrish High Schools Class of 1967 and went on to complete his education at the University of West Alabama in Livingston. He was employed for over forty years at International Paper and was a member of Elkdale Baptist Church.

Bobby was preceded in death by his brother John (Johnny) Raymond Johnson, Jr.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Virginia Daniels Johnson and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Philip Morgan, Billy Green, Thad Bruner, Barry Reed, Wayne Odom, and Donnie Boozer.
