Robert Tate, Sr.
June 20, 1938 — August 14, 2017
Robert Middleton Tate Sr., age 79, of Selma, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017.
Visitation will be from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. Friday at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2017 at Cornerstone with Rev. Steve Burton and Dr. Jerry Gunnells officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Tate is preceded by his parents: Stonewall Jackson and Ruth Tate; and daughter: Terri Louise Tate.
Mr. Tate is survived by his wife of 60 years: Sadie Tate; daughter: Sherri Ruth Tate; son: Robert Middleton Tate Jr. (Jodi); grandchildren: Jesse Aaron Hinton, Joshua Aaron Hinton, Stonewall Jackson Tate, William Carson Tate, Samantha Nicole Bottoms, Nicholas Van Bottoms and Ryan Todd Bottoms; and Westminster Sunday school class:
