Listen to Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, papa, and devoted husband, Ronney Quinn Johnson, age 74, of Douglas, Georgia. On Friday, December 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family, he peacefully finished his courageous fight with cancer and entered his eternal rest. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. — 2 Timothy 4:7

Ronney lived those words with every breath. His life was marked by courage, humility, and an unwavering love for the people he held closest. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort knowing he lived a life full of purpose, devotion, and love that will echo through generations.

Born on September 7, 1951, in Meridian, Mississippi, Ronney was a man who carried his strength quietly. He worked hard, loved deeply, and stood firm in his faith. From long days on the road truck driving to late nights ensuring his family was taken care of, he gave everything he had-not out of obligation, but out of love. He found joy in the things that truly mattered: a home full of laughter, the sound of his grandchildren playing, and simply being near the ones he loved.

His hands were strong from a lifetime of work, but his heart was gentle, always ready to give, always ready to help. He taught us what true dedication looks like, what perseverance really means, and how to love without condition or hesitation. When Ronney spoke, his words brought wisdom; when he smiled, his presence brought peace; and when he loved, it was with his whole, entire soul. To his family, he was a steady rock-someone to lean on, someone who never failed them. To his friends, he was a loyal companion. To everyone blessed to cross paths with him, he was a man of sincerity, grace, and quiet strength. Cancer may have taken his earthly body, but it could never take the legacy he leaves behind. His love lives in his Wife, children, his laughter in his grandchildren, and his strength in the many hearts he touched. We carry him with us in every memory, every lesson, and every moment we feel inspired to be a little stronger, a little kinder, a little more like him. Even in the darkest valleys, faith becomes the quiet strength that teaches us to rise again. Keep walking—your light is still ahead.
