Rubye Smedley

Rubye Perkins Smedley, age 91 of Jones, passed away on Sunday December 27, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Woodrow Smedley and her parents, James Edward and Kate Buchanan Perkins. She is survived by her son, James ���Jimmy��� Thurman Smedley, her grandsons, Mark (Kathy) Smedley of Ardmore, AL, Mike Smedley of Jones, and Todd (Angie) Smedley of Jones, nine great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hester Smedley, a brother, R.V. Perkins of Sardis, MS, a sister, Evelyn Crothers of Vidalia, LA, two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Smedley of Jones, Grace Smedley of Tallahassee, FL, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 30, 2009 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
