Savannah Cofer

Savannah Cofer passed away June 17, 2026 at the age of 33. She was born March 9, 1993 to Sandie J. Cofer and the late Donald Anderson.

Those closest to Savannah will remember her deep connection to nature. She was most at home perched on the edge of a river, paddle in hand, or casting a line into the water. Fishing, hiking, and kayaking down the winding channels of the Coosa River and the sparkling expanse of Lake Martin brought her an endless sense of wonder. Whether swimming in the river, lake, or ocean, Savannah embraced the water with a freedom and joy only she could truly summon.

Savannah could often be found cheering on Alabama Football, her voice echoing with excitement and pride. She delighted in quieter moments as well: immersed in a Ted Decker book, savoring sweet chocolate chip double doozies from American Cookie, and relishing the simple pleasure of walking barefoot or slipping on her favorite flip flops. These small joys speak to the warmth and authenticity that defined her life.

Savannah’s personality was as vibrant as it was unforgettable. Strong-willed and unafraid to make her opinions known, she lived life with an honesty and conviction that inspired those around her. Her love extended to her beloved animals, especially her two cherished cats, Onyx and Sky, who were constant companions and silent witnesses to her journey.

She is survived by her mother Sandie Cofer (Mike Williams); brother, Kenneth (Krystan) Cofer; grandfather, Paul S. (Janice) Woodard and grandmother, Betty Woodard.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.
