Sharon Moore Bettius passed away September 2, 2025 at the age of 68. She was born Ocrtober 26, 1956 to the late Dr. E. Jones Moore, Jr. and Nina Spinks Moore.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Kenneth Moore and niece, Ashley Moore Norris.

Sharon spent her career as a dedicated forensic accountant, a profession that matched her exceptional ability to recall numbers with extraordinary precision. Her career was a testament to her intellect and unwavering dedication. Despite losing her eyesight years ago, Sharon never allowed this challenge to define her. Instead, she carried on with the same spirit of adventure that had always fueled her life. Her determination to experience life fully was evident even in her final weeks when she delighted in attending two concerts—an affirmation of her love for music and joyfulness in being alive.

Sharon was much more than her profession; she was an incredibly talented and artistic lady. Her passion for the arts manifested in her skills as a pianist and her graceful ballet performances. In her later years, she embraced drawing and sketching, exploring her artistic side with boundless enthusiasm. Friends and family alike cherished her wit and charm, as she had an innate ability to brighten any room with her infectious smile.

Known affectionately as "Aunt Dude" to many who loved her, Sharon's spirit of generosity shone through her many thoughtful gifts and the relationships she nurtured throughout her life. She traveled widely around the world, forming lasting memories in every corner she visited, exemplifying her deep appreciation for the world around her. Her independent and fashionable nature became her trademark, reminding those who knew her of the importance of self-expression and authenticity.

Sharon's life was a beautiful tapestry of experiences woven together by her love for adventure, her artistic endeavors, and her sincere desire to bring joy to others. While she has departed from this world, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. In remembering Sharon Moore Bettius, we celebrate a remarkable life filled with warmth, creativity, and a relentless zest for life.
