Bertha Wyatt

Bertha Ezell Wyatt, 82, passed away on August 31, 2021 at Selma Health and Rehab.  She was born July 31, 1939 to the late Samuel Ezell and Clara Jackson Ezell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.V. Wyatt; grandson, Paul Wyatt; parents, Sam and Clara Ezell; brother, James Ezell; and sisters, Mildred Campbell; Estelle Nicholson; and Agnes Clark.

She is survived by her two sons, Daryl (Teresa) Wyatt of Angier, NC and Harold (Beth) Wyatt of Selma, AL; three grandchildren, Ethan Wyatt of Montgomery, IL, Ashley (Rob) Nowell of Waxhaw, NC, and Emily (John) Reilly of Garner, NC; one great-grandson, Sean Jackson Wyatt (Baker, FL) and brother, Sam Ezelle.

Bertha was a charter member and faithful attender of Westwood Baptist Church and served in several areas. She was also a member of the Alabama Emblem Club, serving as past president and most recently as the treasurer.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Henry Levert officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Everyone in attendance is respectfully asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.

Pallbearers will be Floyd Plummer, Mike Fondren, Michael Edwards Tommy Cogle, Larry Foster and Ryan Dunkin. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Nowell, John Reilly, Paul DeLucas, Tommy Ellis, Floyd Plummer, Marty Vice, Fred Friday and Sonny Gibbs.
