Gail Gibian

Gail Gibian passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021. She was born in Selma, Alabama, on February 17,1950, to Richard and Betty Rose Leva Gibian, who preceded her in death. Her older sister, Joan Looney, died in February of this year. Gail lived in Pensacola, Florida, for most of her life.

She is survived by her brother Richard (Kathy) Gibian, her nephews and nieces Rick (Lisa) Looney, Kelly (Todd) Dawson, Jackson (Nicole) Looney, Emily Gibian, Olivia Gibian, and James Gibian, her great nephews and nieces Lev and Ari Looney, Caroline, Owen, and Lilly Dawson, and Rivers Looney, her cousins and close friends that all loved her deeply, and her devoted and beloved dog, BooBoo.

Gail was well-known for her quick wit, her passion for photography, and her famous pickles, which she generously shared with family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 9, 2021, at 2:00 pm in Live Oak Cemetery. If you are unable to attend the service in person, the family invites you to join the livestream of the gathering through Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home’s live feed at http://watchlawrence.live or on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LawrenceFH .

Pallbearers will be Rick Looney, Jackson Looney, Todd Dawson, James Gibian, Lev Looney, Ari Looney, Owen Dawson, and Rivers Looney. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Selma Dallas County Public Library, 1103 Selma Avenue, Selma AL 36703; Temple Mishkan, Israel PO BOX 510, Selma AL 36702; or Hotel for Cats and Dogs Rescues and Adoptions, 4110 Creighton Rd, Pensacola FL 32504
