James "Jimmy" Woodfin

James “Jimmy” Woodfin passed away on October 14, 2019 at the age of 84. He was born January 26, 1935 to the late Arthur and Carrie Woodfin.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Rosemont Cemetery in Uniontown with Rev. George McKee and Rev. Anita Wilburn officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home Directing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Francis Kelly, Carolyn Weissinger; brother: Arthur “Sonny” Woodfin Jr.; he is also preceded in death by his loving wife: Frances (Vaughan) Woodfin.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter: Amy (Woodfin) Broussard, and her husband: Gary Broussard, their children: Webb, Jacob, and Evan Broussard. He is also survived by a son: James (Jim) Woodfin, Jr. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

He will be missed by many in the agricultural community in and around Perry and Marengo Counties. A Godly man, who loved his family, friends, farm, and communities of Uniontown and Fawnsdale.

He was a graduate of Marion Millitary Institude and a member of The Morgan’s Raiders. Also, he was a graduate if Auburn Universith (API) – 1957.
