Lonnie Holland

October 10, 1955 — March 27, 2021

On Saturday March 27, 2021 Lonnie Stephen Holland passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Valley Grande, Alabama after a long fight with COPD and emphysema.

He is survived by his daughters Trinity (Sean) Lewis and Melinda (Johnny) Duncan of Valley Grande, Alabama; Jennifer (Doug) Glisson of Clewiston, Florida and Tiffany and Steffanie Duck of Bonifay Florida. 11 of “pawpaws favorite turds”, Amelia, Landon, Shialo, Payton, Kyndal, Savannah, Morgan, Gavin, Cayden, Brooklyn and Jackson. His four sisters. Two special family members he considered his own, Mickey and Misty Sanders and a host of nieces and nephews. His special love Sandy Anderson and his dear friend Vinnie Royster.

He is proceeded in death by his sons Garrett Holland and Shadoe Holland, father Bobby Holland, mother Dorthye Jackson; brother Larry Holland and brother in laws Andy Howe and Ronnie Lambert.

Steve was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, father, pawpaw, husband and a friend to everyone he met. Steve spent his life being everything to everybody. He was everyone’s local mechanic, carpenter, plumber, veterinarian, electrician, mediator, garbage man, lawn man, pool cleaner, house sitter, taxi, ATM, dog sitter and rat killer.

Steve was an iron worker by day and a Cowboy Casanova by night. He’s an army veteran and he’s never been shy to give his last penny to someone in need.
