Lula Mae Hill Wood passed away September 27, 2021 at the age of 86. She was born February 22, 1935 to the late Boyd Hill and Etter Smith Hill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thad Wood; grandson, Joshua Gaston Ayers and she was the last sibling of four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Mary Wood (Grady) Ayers; son, Joe (Kim) Wood; grandchildren, Dr. Courtney Ayers (Marcus) Rozbitsky, Amanda Ayers (Justin) Davis, Emily Tyler Ayers, Joseph Thad (Catherine) Wood, Jr. and Kirby Wood (Chase) Stone; great-grandchildren, Miles Rozbitsky, Peyton Davis, Grady Davis, Sara Cate Wood, Paisley Stone and Alexa Stone.

Pallbearers will be Thad Wood, Jr., Chase Stone, Justin Davis, Tim Wood, Mike Wood and Ronnie Roberts. Honorary pallbearer will be Marcus Rozbitsky.

Graveside services will be Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Dr. George Wood officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The service will be live streamed online to the funeral home’s Facebook page, at http://watchlawrence.live for those who are unable to attend in person.

It is kindly requested that all in attendance wear a face covering and practice social distancing.

The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their kind and loving care.
