Ronald "Ron" Dickinson

Ronald Lee "Ron" Dickinson, Sr., 72, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Born on March 15, 1946 in Roanoke, VA to the late Manfred "Bud" and Ella Mae (Manspile) Dickinson, Ron was a devoted Dad, Paw Paw, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed.  He was a self employed insurance adjustor for most of his life.  Ron was an Air Force Veteran who proudly served during the Vietnam era.  He loved and cherished his family and friends, especially his grandsons.  Ron enjoyed his Church family, fishing and Alabama football.

Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sandra (Cooper) Dickinson, he is survived by his son, Lee Dickinson of Mt. Airy, MD, beloved grandsons Tyler Dickinson and Ryan Dickinson of Bel Air, MD, brother Charles (Nancy) Dickinson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, sister Melinda (Dennis) Gregory of Norfolk, VA and numerous loving In-laws as well as very special friends, Leon and Nadiene Hewerdine, Gary and Terry Shafer, Craig and Theresa Sullivan, Amy Powell and so many others too numerous to mention but you know who you are and how much you meant to Ron; he cherished his time with each one of you.

A celebration of Ron's life journey was held September 20, 2018 at Valley Baptist Church in Middletown officiated by Pastor Todd Heishman.   A graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. James Small officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ron's memory to the Valley Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 5678 Holter Road, P. O. Box 740, Middletown, MD. 21769.
