Sadie Jessie Tubbs Tate, age 80, of Selma, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021.

In the current environment of COVID concerns, the family has chosen to hold a private family

service at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 30, 2021 with

Rev. Steve Burton and Rev. George McKee officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral

Home directing. The service will be available via livestream on the church Facebook page. Burial

will follow at 2:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery and is open to all who would like to attend.

Mrs. Tate is preceded by her parents: Alvin and Virginia Ione Tucker Tubbs;

her husband: Robert Middleton Tate, Sr. and daughter: Terri Louise Tate.

Mrs. Tate is survived by her daughter: Sherri Ruth Tate; son: Robert Middleton Tate, Jr. (Jodi);

Grandchildren: Jesse Aaron Hinton, Joshua Aaron Hinton, Stonewall Jackson Tate, Willem

Carson Tate, Samantha Nicole Bottoms, Nicholas Van Bottoms, Ryan Todd Bottoms; and sister: Everlou Tubbs Aiken.

Pallbearers will be: Jesse Aaron Hinton, Joshua Aaron Hinton, Stonewall Jackson Tate, Willem

Carson Tate, Nicholas Van Bottoms and Ryan Todd Bottoms
