Valorie Parrish

Valorie Jean Parrish passed away on September 27, 2019 at the age of 84. She was born April 2, 1935 to the late Jessie Lee Moore Rayfield and Lucius Wert Rayfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Parrish.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Bill) Huffman and Andrea (Bruce) Cathey; grandchildren, Beverly Huffman, John Huffman and Joy Cathey; brother, Lucius Rayfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Travis Barnes officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. There will be no visitation.

Pallbearers will be Bill Huffman, Bruce Cathey, Allen Rayfield, Richard "Dickie" Henninger and William Ross. Honorary pallbearer will be Lucius Rayfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Barrett Road United Methodist Church; 615 Barrett Road, Selma, Alabama 36701.
